2 Houston Center

In July 2007, a fire occurred in the second building of a multi-building commercial hi-rise complex in a major southwest city. The building is 40 stories and comprises 1.2 million square feet of Class A office space. The fire started on the 16th floor but caused damage to the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 17th floors.

FlagshipPDG mitigated the loss, coordinated the asbestos abatement, demolition and assisted in settling the claim with the insurance carrier. FlagshipPDG built back two floors and renovated three floors. The various tenants were able to move back in, ahead of schedule. The complex, houses diverse tenants such as: law firms, petrochemical companies, business development firms and foreign consulates.
